I want make sure I got this right.What is the law regarding buying a pistol from a friend that is out of state.Can he come down to the ffl and transfer the gun to me.?Or no way it has to be single shot exemption.?

If it is on the roster he can sell it to you, if not you may have to find someone to do the SSE or if you are LEO. 1st go to Ca DOJ online and see if it is on the CA approve roster, that would be a good start, then call a local FFl and ask if he can bring it down to sell it to you, through them. good luck. -

If you're not a LEO it would need to be on the roster or roster exempt.
This would not be a PPT and the LGS can and will charge what ever they want.Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.
