      Hey, that's my line.
      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

The non rostered guns you're seeing are probably consignment sales. That's legal... for now.

        See the SSE thread.

After fees & tax my SR1911 was right about $800 OTD. Sure, coulda had "something else" but I didn't want "something else." Tell that to the "something else" fanboiz & you'd think you'd said something bad about their mother...

So far I haven't been sorry.

One for sale in the marketplace right now. If you live close enough
"get that evil thing out of the house"

          FFLs/Store I support and recommend:
Don at Straightline Tactical in Anaheim
Steve at OC Firearms in Fountain Valley.

Rock Island is made by Armscor and that is why some of the Rocks are for sale without SSE. Some will still require SSE.

It's stupid how much people want for their SR1911 in the market place. IMO one of the most overpriced items along with the WASR. Eventually I will get one and I will do a comparison with my Les Baer.

Yeah, I don't know what they are asking in the marketplace, but $800 OTD is a good price.

J&G has them for $700 plus shipping.

If you could get them to ship this to CA you would still be looking at tax, dros, SSE and transfer. Sure to go over $800 OTD

Yep, $718.18 shipped from JGsales with SSE, DROS and CA tax would be about $909 OTD. Yikes!
A good rifle build isn't cheap, but a bad one can be expensive!

If you had skipped the RI and one of the Glocks you could have had a Les Baer.

SR1911 isn't bad, but way overhyped.

Wouldn't say it was "hyped." Lots of people were eager to get one for any number of reasons. All the reviews I've seen were pretty spot on. Generally "A great 1911 at it's price point." And it is.

American made. I'll confess to being a fanboi for the Ruger bottom feeders. Rugers are generally solid and their customer service is top notch.

Stainless "70" type. None of that Kalifornistan safety nonsense.

Simple. No front cocking serrations or tacticool buzzwords emblazoned on the slide. The "warning" consists of "RTFM" tucked away on the underside of the dust cover. It's a handsome pistol.

You don't see them at the range every day.

                            What's not to like?

Don't have a stroke, but some of us have zero interest in a Les Baer.

I was highlighting his impatience and tendency to "buy something" just to buy, rather than saving for something he truly wants (and could easily have).

                              I sold my Baer FWIW.
