Fulcrum trigger vs stock glock trigger

I'm thinking about doing some upgrades to a few of my glocks...

Is the fulcrum trigger worth the $$$

I have a friend who has a fulcrum trigger in his 19... And has had some reliability issues... Obvious huge problem, anyone else have any similar issues?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

What's the purpose of your glocks? How much money do you have to throw around? Only way I would consider throwing down that much money on replacing a perfectly fine trigger is if you tried the fulcrum trigger and loved it, or had some absurd amount of money (like $10000+) to spend.

Glock triggers are perfectly fine out of the box. If that doesn't work for ya, get a 3.5# connector. If that still doesn't work, do the .25 cent trigger job. If that STILL doesn't work, get a heavier trigger spring. By the end of this, you will have spent ~$20 (Main cost is the connector and shipping).

No. I would not put any after market parts that could compromise the reliability of the Glock.

And if I wanted a firearm with a better trigger, I would just get a 1911.

I like mine, for me it made the trigger feel solid. Im sued to metal triggers and the fulcrum helped out. I got my fulcrum for VERY cheap (used) so to me yes it was worth it!

✟ In the beginning was the 1911, and the 1911 was THE pistol, and it was good. And behold the Lord said, "Thou shalt not muck with my disciple John's design for it is good and it workith. For John made the 1911, and lo all of his weapons, from the designs which I, the Lord, gave him upon the mountain."✟

I realize you asked us whether it was a good idea to change components on your Glock, and to talk you out of upgrading your trigger, but I"m going to ignore your question and give you my $.02 on the Fulcrum trigger vs. other options.

I had the Fulcrum trigger. Used it for a bit and returned it. I also used the Ghost Rocket trigger kits.

In my opinion, the Fulcrum had more adjustability, and it was cooler looking, but it performed no better (or maybe incrementally better, but not $150.00 better) than the Ghost Rocket.

This is in no way a slam on the Fulcrum trigger, it did improve the trigger over stock, and the Fulcrum people are great to deal with, but I couldn't see spending almost half the price of the gun on a trigger when the less expensive option (Ghost Rocket, can't say enough about them) performed as well.

Also, if you're going to use the gun for competition, the Fulcrum is not legal for USPSA Production and IDPA Stock Service Pistol divisions.

If you want Gucci style, go with the Fulcrum. It is cool looking. Also get yourself one of those neat slide rear covers, the engraved ones that are cool (truth be told, I have one with an American Flag, so I ain't looking down my nose on this item) and a chrome slide stop, mag catch and pins. That's probably about as Gucci as you can make a Glock without spending real serious coin.

But if you just want performance, the Ghost Rocket is the shizznit. You won't be disappointed.

Not worth it IMO. Save the money from the trigger purchase and put it towards ammo and range time. The Glock trigger does smooth out over time.

I agree with the above, the stock trigger is good and will get the job done. You are much better off practicing with your firearm.

From a fanboy/armorer 's point of view most people don't use the Glock to its fullest potential so any internal " upgrades" are usually done for the sake of being able to say, "I put in a XXX trigger and it's great,".

IMO, useful upgrades for most people would be sights, training and ammo. My most tricked out Glock has the aforementioned three " upgrades" , grip tape and a light.

I have two Glocks with Fulcrum triggers. They both reside in competition guns. Wonderful triggers that adjusts to minimize pre and overtravel. They are a high speed item like a race car and require maintenance. They are the closest I have gotten with a Glock trigger to a light 1911 trigger. I would not install these in my SD Glocks. My SD Glocks are left stock.

Are the 3.5# connectors universal..ie is there a specific one for the Glock 19 Gen 4?

Do you know the weight of the trigger spring in a Glock 19 Gen 4? What weight (heavier) trigger spring do you recommend?

Just like to start tinkering to see what each components does.

Don't need the Fulcrum Trigger upgrade. Honestly, even for competitive shooters, all you need is:

                          Zev Tech Competition Spring Kit
                          Zev Tech V4 Race Connector

Shoots amazing. Can find these parts at Glockworx or GlockStore

Went with the Fulcrum trigger in my G26 and love it. Probably didn't need it but just got fancy anyway. Got the all stainless steel one and it looks very sharp. Really spruced up the appearance and looks that much better. Put a few other shiny upgrades and looks and performs top notch. Definitely smoother on the pad of the trigger finger than the stock one. Have the ghost rocket connector also and they make a great combo. Super accurate for a baby Glock.

i dont think it is worth it. just get the 3.5 zev tech connector and spend the 130 you save on ammo and range time.
