    RUGER GP100 357 4" Value

    Hey Guys,

How much would you think a used GP100 4" barrel stainless be worth?

    I saw one for $499.
    Round Count was unknown,
finish looked Ok. I did see a very tiny spots that looked
like rust pit or just tiny lil dots (holes). It was on the frame and
not really noticeable. The space between the cylinder and barrel looked
good (not much gap, maybe credit card could fit in it)
When hammer was back, i dont think there was any play in cylinder.

The gun looked in good condition but obviously used.

Is that gun hard to find and is worth the price?

Brand new price is around $600. I see them now in stock. With this info, you decide if it's worth it

    Good luck!

In good condition with box and accessories about $550.

In the condition you described $450 to $500 depending on visual inspection and function check.

Also see here. Very important to fully check out a revolver. A lot more things to check that could ruin the gun than a semi. Very important to try to hit all of these checks. Also if you can bring someone who knows revolvers.

Ok thanks guys. Sorry to get off topic but do you guys know if the
blued model is approved for California (Ruger 1702 GP100 Std 357 Mag Heavy Barrel 4" 6rd )?

I saw the stainless at a Pawn Shop, they usually have higher prices. But after I saw the black GP100 I fell in love.

I may be wrong but the CA DOJ approved list only applies to new gun sales, not to used PPT.

            You're wrong.

The roster applys to ALL handguns sold from dealer inventory. It does not matter if it's new or used.

The roster doesn't apply to PPT or consignments; which are a form of PPT.
            Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Right. If bought from the dealer, roster applies. Most pawn shops won't buy an off roster gun though cause they can't sell it for this reason.

Blued is approved in California. Bought one last year. When they're available, they go for about $512, or at least that's what I paid.

                    x2 on the blued GP100 4'' - 6 shot.

I have one myself that I bought through Turner's a while back.
