I'm looking for a G23, and my local gun shop owner told me the Glock rep told him they had over 100,000 on back order because of all the guns going to the middle east. So there is probably some truth somewhere in those numbers.

    So I wait (not) patiently..

i keep hearing those numbers 60k - 100k back ordered but what does that exactly mean if we don't know the rate at which they produce them...

Don't be surprised if the prices do go up since the magazines went up in price by about a 30% increase.

I haven't seen a shortage in the three shops I've been in. I went to J&R's in Livermore Sunday and bought myself a G17. There were several other Glocks on his shelf as I left. Now I wait.

Typical with many other industries (firearm- munitions)... everyone is filling their Gov contracts first.

Their absence will only make them more popular... I already got my Glock. No interest in any others for now.

they should be caught up in a month or two, the 90K back order is probably the closest to true. The rep told me 95 a couple of days ago.

We are still back ordered on our shipments, I talked to our regional glock rep and he said in a few months we should see a resupply.

I know someone who had placed an order for a G17 thru an online dealer about three weeks ago. It just arrived at the dealer from its distributor a few days ago. Not sure if the dealer said they were waiting on the 10-round mag configuration or the pistol itself.

Like everyone else, I'm short on Glock at the moment. No 19s, 22s, or 23s to be had at the moment. I ordered a 17 from Davidsons that should be at the store today. Anyone want it?

I heard from the dealer at my local shop that dealers were encouraged to place stocking orders after the beginning of the year, this led to huge back orders. Looks like we're seeing them trickle back in at my local shop.

The guys at Irvington Arms have a few of them right now. Their prices are some of the best in town. I'm not sure if they have a G19 at the moment, but I know there's a few G22s, a G34, G35, and some others I noticed a while back.

My FFL told me it was because of the shot show they are about 40000 behind in pistol production. I have been waiting gor a G23 for a month now

Everyone knows Glock can't keep up with production because people are buying two at a time.
