Tokarev m57 ca legality

Ok, so I want to add an m57 to my collection. Is my understanding that only c&r m57s may be transferred into the state, or can new production cai m57s be brought into California without needing a single shot exemption? Or are the cai m57s just re-finished old m57s?

Old M57s can be transferred by a FFL. The new ones are not on the list
so I doubt they can be purchased.

The new CAI ones are not C&R nor are they on the roster. If you want one SSE is the way to go.
