Some info would have been good to get before you bought it.

Kind of a pain to take down imo, otherwise they seem like a fine piece

I haven't bought it yet, still researching myself. The one complaint I've seen often is that the trigger is a long travel and takes getting use to.

It is a long pull, and it is not entirely linear - the travel curves up a bit. You need to learn control to keep your shot accurate.

              Ruger LC9

Super reliable. I have over 1,000 rounds through mine without a hick-up, Grab a bunch of trigger right up front and THEN squeeze off the shots. Great sights, very accurate at 30' and under (which is what it is made for). So thin and very concealable.

              Really like mine.

                -Long travel trigger
                --Equally long reset
                --Similar to a revolver
-Hammer (not striker) system which half-cocks hammer on slide recoil. Trigger pull finishes the stroke
--Hinged trigger provides "arching" stroke which can pull shots if you don't stage the trigger
--Trigger reset has two audible and felt "clicks" which allow precise staging of reset for follow up shots.
--Takes a little concentration and about 100 dry fires to settle into it.
-Reasonable accuracy for very small 9mm package.
-Mag release is not substantial. Wearing IWB, I can feel it release the mag.
-After 5 months of carry, light rust appears on mag release--cleans off easily
-Pistol has mag catch safety so it won't fire with mag out. This can be fixed quickly
-"Loaded Chamber Indicator" is dumb, but you get used to it. Don't grind on it, it just makes the weapon unsafe.
-Take down is initially frustrating, but smooths out. A paper clip makes a great tool until the lock pin understands it should come out on its own. Open the pin cover, hold slide open with right hand over right side of pistol until pin hole lines up. Smack the pistol into left hand and the pin comes out.
-Some folks have posted that the gun won't fire and the trigger feels like it's not engaged. They forgot to unlock the trigger using the key provided. Unlock the pistol and understand how the lock works, then leave it unlocked, put the key back in the box, put the box away. You won't need the key again.
                -Light weight, handy, accurate
-Capacity of 7+1 in small package.

I have one. Yes long travel. Practice, practice. I use it as a pocket pistol. Think of the trigger like a double action revolver.

Wife has one. I've shot it a few times. Long trigger pull takes getting used to as stated above but overall it's a great small package

I don't have an issue with the long trigger pull, I actually really like the trigger.

I'm not crazy about the looks of the gun but I can't complain about its performance. It's been perfect since day one. I had it for about 1.5 years and after this long without any issues it's passed all my tests. the only change I'm thinking about is upgrading to fiber optic sights.

I see someone else noticed it's on sale at Turners! I've been thinking about this one too, so thanks for the replies!

There is a kit that makes the trigger unbelievably smooth with a quick reset. Check You Tube video. I had one and hated the trigger, a few dollars fixed it and now it shoots like a dream.

I mostly liked this gun out of the box. It has a great look and feel with a nice fit and finish by Ruger. Now that being said it has a horrible trigger and the magazine disconnect really bothered me. Luckily, both these issues were easily fix. I would recommend the Galloway trigger upgrade and the removal of the mag disconnect. Now that I have modded my LC9 it shoots like a dream and it is one of my favorite handguns to shoot!
