    2. Slide is jamming and not loading the first round. This happened with Rem JHP and with regular Fiocchi 115g ball ammo. This did not happen every time but at least 3 times during the 150 rounds I put through it.

I also DID NOT field strip and clean this gun before going to range. I usually do field strip and clean any handgun before its first range trip, but didn't get around to it for this one. Any thoughts on what's happening?

    1. It will take a little while for springs to settle.

    2. Are you pulling the slide back and releasing? Or using the slide stop?

Depending on how much anti-seize is in there, it may be slowing your slide velocity down some. I had a ton of that copper a-s and added a few drops of oil to the slide rails the first time out.

its your followers i had the same problem with 1 mag. Also the glock 10 round mags are more likely to jam then the 15 round mags just nature of the beast (thanks ****ty laws) Also with it being hard to load i have found that most 10 round mags are a pain to get those last 2 rounds in.

The #3 followers fixed the problems.

Thanks for the pics, good to know...

Glock came through and sent me new followers(9mm3) for my 10 round magazines.
Good customer service if you aske me. Now I just need to go to the range to verify this corrects the issue.

They did the same for me thanks to this thread. It fixed mine, which only occurred with JHP ammo.

For what it's worth, I just picked up a new Gen 3 G17 and 3 additional mags - all 5 mags have the 2183 followers and all 5 work without issue with JHP so this seems to be isolated to the 10 round mags in the G19.

I also just jailed a Gen 4 G19 that came with 3 mags that all have the 2183 followers and was curious to see if it was strictly a Gen 3 issue or not, but I won't be able to find out; as I was finishing my DROS paperwork another customer in the store made me an offer to buy it that I couldn't turn down.

EDIT: One other thing to note is that this only seems to happen with the Gen 4 mags (which ship with all new Gen 3's). They're easily identified by the dual cutouts on the magazine body to allow for the ambi configuration on the gen 4's.

I just tested out the mags for my new G19 and they are definitely a b*tch to get the 10th round in.

After reading this thread I checked my mags. I have the 2183 followers and mine too was a pain to get the tenth round. I used the speed loader after and I was able to get in the tenth round. I might have to call Glock CS as well.

That is a pain in the butt, but my biggest concern was that it wasnt feeding rounds reliably with those followers.

Same issue with mine. The last rounds are tight. As for the jamming, it's odd. I do let my slide slam forward so I don't know if that's why. I like Glocks but sometimes I think they are dropping the ball. Why mess with something that works, and start changing things?
