I was speaking to one of Walmart's merchandising executives. She told me due to the massive customer complaints, Walmart has signed an order (active within 2-3 weeks) where customers will only be allowed to purchase one ammo box per day.

People were complaining of not being able to buy ammo during the day because of those buying all the ammo in the morning. Well, that's about to change!

Honestly, I'm glad about it! I'd rather walk in and buy one box than to walk out of Walmart empty handed!

I am not glad as I already didn't like the idea of navigating through a walmart just to potentially buy 3 boxes of ammo. Definately will stick to internets if my new option is only one box!

Coyo, in my city you have people lining up at 6am to buy ammo. Us people that can't make it at that time are screwed by the time we can go to Walmart.

Now, I will not have that issue!

That's not gonna help. lol. License information will be kept in database for a 24hour period. If trying to repurchase within a 24 hour period, you will be turned away.

Junior, not too lazy. I'm too busy patrolling at 6am, pulling people over for being idiots and violating traffic ordinances.

Also, the "friends working at Walmart issue" is also being addressed. I have a feeling many are going to lose their job. I can't really comment on what she told me.

I'm curious how this will actually work. will they be taking your ID and putting it on a statewide or nationwide computer database to prevent people doing the old "penguin disguise" method? or is it on the on on the honor system ?I don't really care about showing my ID but ammunition becomes plentiful again will they continue this system?
(and yes I'm being overly optimistic about any ammunition purchasing permit regulation bills becoming law.)
