    Nicholas Cage's GSG 1911

Hey guys I decided to try my first duracoat job and I have to give props to you guys who do it regularly and beautifully. I suck and lack the patience haha and with that said I decided to do it to a GSG 1911. Since it was a GSG 1911 I decided to make this into a PIMP gun I like pimp guns It's not HORRIBLE but it's not even close to being good, next time I will definitely take it to a professional and dish out the extra cash to have a perfect coat. Well here are the pictures:

          Pretty close!

I actually forgot we were talking about a GSG until I noticed your barrel cap.

          Nice job OP.

Thanks for all the encouraging words guys and for not flaming on the gold! Haha up close there are some blemishes that bug me but I just keep telling myself it's just a gsg 1911 lol and if I am really unhappy with the blemishes ill just get it redone professionally later on

Interesting idea. Turned out okay from looking at the pictures.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

It looks good to me and unless it really bugs you I'd just leave it as is because as you said it's just a GSG and save the money for the professional work on a better gun.

What are those weird screws next to the slide stop pin?

good for you. i recently purchased an inexpensive 1911 so that i could learn how to checker and to fit a barrel and do a trigger job etc. ultimately i'll have to refinish it as well. kind of neat and fun to learn how to do these things

It looks like a 1911 and some parts interchange but it doesn't disassemble like a 1911.
