    Its not a big deal. Just try not to do it too often. Many people I know have done that accidentally without realizing it. It hasn't adversely affected their guns.

      I'm sure it's fine but you should not let the slide slam home with an empty chamber on ANY semi-auto pistol. Try not to do it too often.

        It's fine. That warning is in there for people who sit at home all day playing with it cuz it sounds cool.

          What 1911 is it? And yeah most people advise against it as it puts stress on the hammer/sear engagement.
