Also give Underwood a shot. Quality control is as good as it gets, and nothing [safe] on the market is loaded hotter. They're also less expensive than BB.

I can (and occasionally have) just as easily yank a shot with cheap .38sp as with a hot-rodded .357 load. My question is, because I know little about ballistics, is; Is there a point at which you are pushing the projectile too fast and accuracy suffers?

My relatively limited experience as a reloader tells me accuracy is too complicated to be a function of hot vs. light loads - light loads are not inherently more accurate.

I think to actually make a load inaccurate by loading it too hot you would have to go to the point where you're compromising the structure of the bullet, which is not the level we're talking about here.

Gross inaccuracy is a result of component failure or user error, fine accuracy differences come down to things like twist rate, barrel length, bullet diameter, powder burn rate, bullet seating and crimping, consistency of chambering, etc.

I'll give them a try when they get something I can use back in stock. Still going to be using the BB loads for hunting though. Underwood doesn't show any lead free listings for 357 SIG.
