I paid less than .35 a round at the usually overpriced Big 5 a few weeks ago. The trick is trying to find a place that has it in stock.

Yeah they are popping up everyday but sell out in seconds to minutes.

If you are paying more than $15/50box then you are either desperate or a sucker and you deserve to pay that. I would rather not shoot than pay those prices.

+1 Everyone needs to stop buying into to this ammo shortage BS. stop paying ridiculous prices and shops will stop charging them. $0.40 per round of 9MM ?"going rate"? seriously? I love to shoot but I'll wait on those prices.

Last week I bought 350 rounds of CCI Blazer 115 gr FMJ for 0.34/rd.

While it's still unusual to find that kind of quantity here, these past few weeks I can usually make the rounds of local gun stores and find a few boxes of 50 at about that same price.

Certainly there are a few people in this area price gouging, in the range of what's mentioned in the OP. They have plenty in stock, suggesting that most won't pay that much. When this passes, I for one will not forget who was fair and who wasn't.
