    The Deed Is Done!

Well, after much anticipation I finally turned 21 this weekend. Of course, one of the top things on my to-do list was to head over to Irvington Arms in Fremont. Took the test for my HSC and they fixed me up with a nice new Glock 19. I decided to go with the 19 for a few reasons: fits great in my hand, 9mm is more affordable to shoot, you can't go wrong with glock's reliability, and I was very impressed after shooting my buddies 17 and 21. Needless to say, I think it is an excellent starting point for my pistol collection! Im pretty fired up about getting to pick her up.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone on this site for contributing to a great recource! Its a big reason for my small rifle collection, and now soon to be pistol collection!

    Be safe and happy shooting!

I think you have your priorities right. get the gun and have a beer later, that way the dealer will sell you the gun. they don't like drunks too much

No, no, no. Buy the gun. Then get drunk for the 10 day waiting period. It will seem to go much quicker.

Congrats! The GLOCK 19 was my first handgun back in 1993. I got it for all the reasons you stated, plus it conceals GREAT!

I sold it when I needed money back in 1995, but recently replaced it with a GLOCK 17. When I had my G19, the shorter grip left my pinky hanging and I thought it looked kinda off in a open carry holster.

Congrats on your birthday. You are ahead of me in the firearm department. I wasn't thinking at all about guns when I turned 21. I wish I had been into guns then...I'd probably be a much better shot now if I had all that practice.

Anyway, nice choice in firearm! You picked it for all the right reasons.

                        Welcome to the Club!!
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.
