That is weird. You can always just replace the slide with the internal parts from your Glock. Lone Wolf sells stainless steel slides.
Lone Wolf Arms is the largest manufacturer of aftermarket parts for Glocks. We also have M&P Shield, Beretta/Taurus, and Browning Hi-Power parts.

    Best of luck to you.

The spent brass from the gun was normal. In a class I was in a short time ago, the instructor had told us to check the spent casings from students guns. If the firing pin strikes were off center on shooters using Glocks, we were to pull that shooter off the line right away as that meant the gun was beginning to fire out of battery.

It's a Gen 3..finger grooves and light rail...the other 21 I had was an early one and worked well..never had a problem with it...

Oh! Cool! My early model G21 is also very accurate. Thanks for the info.

When you dry fire, are you releasing the slide as well?

Isn't dry firing part of the field strip sequence for all glocks ?

Dry firing should not cause that. Contact Glock, they'll fix it.

Now, that's a Glock torture test you just have to see.

Check Glocktalk, there were reports of same failure.

FYI - There is a GSSF match in Norco (SOCAL 91 fwy & 15 fwy) this weekend.

There will be a Factory Glock armorer with plenty of parts. He will look at your gun for FREE and may repair/upgrade any parts that need replacing. More than likely he won't even charge you for the parts. You don't even have to be participating in the match.

I didn't see how bad the damage was when I first looked at the pic. Now that I see it's more serious. If your in SOCAL, I still would go to the GSSF match and have them look at it. If anything, it'll save you money from having to ship the slide to the factory. They can take it back to the factory when the return back to home base @ the factory after the match.

I have a G29 that I dry fire A LOT every night for an hour or two. But then again most of the time I use snap caps.

That certainly COULD be from dry firing.
Actual use with live ammo will not cause that kind of force from inside the slide because the primer takes much of the firing pin's blow.
Same thing with snap caps protecting the inside of the slide.
