    Diamondback db9

    Anyone own one of these?
    Any good?
    Reliable?
    Worth the price?
I am a huge glock fanboy and from what it looks like they are almost a pocket glock
That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me. You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. Dosen't show up on your airport X-ray machines, here, and it cost more than you make in a month.

Had one. I couldn't chamber certain HP rounds a from a fully loaded mag; it would get jammed on the bottom lip of the feed ramp, but it would chamber the same ammo if I downloaded one round from the mag. The pistol is small and carried well but I wasn't comfortable with carrying in the pocket. Oh and it's a handful to shoot; not in the hammer to your palm kind of way but like a shank a golf club into the ground on a cold morning without warming up kind of way. After two mags through that pistol my arm would shake uncontrollably from the vibrations that shot up from my grip all the way up to my shoulder. Not fun to shoot. I was hoping the db9 would the single stack glock 9mm that they never made but it is far from it. If you want something that easy to carry I'd go with the lcp, even if it means downsizing to 380. I would skip over the db9.

I too was hoping the db9 would be the single stack glock that glock never made

Me too. I'm still looking for the 9mm that will replace my LCP as my EDC. Haven't found it yet.

Me too! Seems like their G36 is successful .. still hoping they spread the concept to an even thinner 9mm

I know that Taurus isn't thought much of on this board but I really like my 709 Slim.
              Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I have a DB9. I like it a lot. It has been very reliable and is super concealable. It is also very accurate but it kicks like a mule. That doesn't bother me too much since it is not a range gun. I bought it to pocket carry but I've since learned that I don"t like pocket carry. I much prefer to carry IWB.

Very hit or miss on their QC. I was considering buying one and asked to borrow a friends...I fired one round and the gun catastrophically failed. The recoil spring broke. Left a very bad taste in my mouth obviously, that with the other reports of malfunctions and breakages I have steered clear of them.

If you want a pocket 9mm maybe Kahr PM9 or CM9, or Ruger LC9

I can only conclude that Glock produced the G36 to meet a Military spec, probably to replace the Colt Officer's .45 ACP.

As, ttbomk, there are no large contract requirements for a 9mm P in that size/configuration, either existing or impending, I do not see Glock getting around to producing a whole new pistol just for a highly competitive civilian market.

They can not even keep up w/ current and foreseeable demands of existing models as is.

                    (Hope I'm wrong, though I can't remember when. )
