I caved and made this purchase.

Just got an email from Budsgunshop about an out of stock item becoming available, and I grabbed it.

A recent HK pistol design, the P30 is a modern police and security pistol that combines function and safety. Ergonomic features include a special gri

Will send it to TableRockArms, Ryan Wooton for SSE and magazine breakdown. Then have it shipped locally. So much trouble and expense for such a nice paperweight. (Given the current ammo shortage.)

I suffered for a long time trying to decide between this, the P226, and the SP01. I decided to go with what's in stock.

I'll still get the SP01 of course if I ever get the chance. Money is not really an issue, value is. I have a strong preference for DA/SA pistols, so no Glocks or other striker fired guns for me.

Sorry Sig, you got the short end of the stick. Someone tell me I made a good purchase so I do not suffer from cognitive dissonance?

P.S. This gun will go very nicely with my P30 CO2 airgun I just bought.

Update: Bud cancelled order, telling me that the reason is because they do not ship to states different than my billing address.

HK's are excellent rigs although I prefer the UPS. Kinda looks like something SpiderMan would carry for his secondary...

I've owned the slightly shorter P30S 9mm for a couple of years now---outstanding pistol and plays well with my P2000 9mm DA/SA pistol---great choice!

The P30 is the only H&K pistol I'd own, but the price tag is a killer.

For example, in the last 2 months I got an M&P 9mm, Atomic Dog holster and mag carriers, 4 mags and 1,250 rounds of 9mm for LESS than the price listed on Bud's webpage of the P30.

Excellent handgun, but spendy. Enjoy your purchase!

WHoa! I"m in the same position looking for a P30 - let us know how the process was - shipping to table rock, sse, etc. I might mirror the exact same process!!

                  Yeah, you might be screwed.

You should find a SSE friendly FFL near you, have it shipped there, and if they do not have a barrel for the SSE, they can ship it to Ryan.

Best of luck! She's a beaut!

I think you made a good purchase. I have been looking for one for a while. They seldom come up in the market place and when they do they are over $1000, usually $1200+. On gunbroker there are a few of the "L", by few I mean 2-3 evry now and then. they typically go for at least what you paid and usually more. Even with the cost of the SSE and tax, you didn't get ripped off. If you want that model that's the price you pay. Remember, you may not get many more chances after this to get hold of this model if the off-roster transfer restrictions for non-LOE's (if you are non-LEO) goes into effect next year. The mags will be the killer, going for $100+ per, if you can find them in CA! I would love to get one, still in stock it looks like, yes I am jealous. But I am going to do paper work on a new XDm this weekend. Then the 30 day wait begins.
