Those are ready to go out of the box. They have polygonal rifling.. you don't break that in, just don't send lead through it.

If you are going to shoot reloads there is no timing issue.

I used to go through a break in period. Now I just shoot stuff.

        No break-in should be necessary.

I know this isn't really what you asked about, but I found it to be helpful as a new glock owner as well. (mine is still being shipped from online store waiting to go to jail) Hope you enjoy yours! I can't wait to get my hands on my new G27 gen4!

I just shoot 200-300 rounds through mine and consider it done.

I'm getting a glock in less than 10 days and it will probably never see a single factory loaded round, only my own reloads.

With Glock's polygonal rifling, only jacketed or plated ammo is recommended. I reload Rainier plated bullets so that's what my Glocks shoot. If you want to shoot lead reloads, I suggest getting an aftermarket barrel.

As for breaking in a Glock, just load up a magazine and insert it into the gun. After that, consider the break-in complete.

Our new 19 Gen 3 was tending to drop shell on right shoulder, or if loose held, on her head! Good grip helped, but I think stuff loosened up and now cleanly ejects to right.... broken in? About 200- 250 round count now.

There is no "break-in" period. I would just make sure the weapon is proven before you use it as a SD or HD weapon.
