I dont venture around other than to call if they have a gun in stock n buy once i get there. They had glocks, sigs, n plenty of ammo.

I cant tell the difference but it says A-1 something on the paperwork. I should note this if i ever need to sell. I bought two 8 round mags for it n need more mags

Congratulations on your Springfield. If I may make a suggestion; don't get too hung up on making your gun pretty. Your 1911 is a key to the world of shooting, it is not in and of itself the destination. When you spend money on your gun ask yourself, is this for looks, or for performance? Aesthetics or athletics? Most people are gun owners, few are shooters. Be a shooter. Good luck.

Im more of an owner to be honest. Most available nearby places are paper shooting. I plink cans with a 22 rifle or pellet gun here and there. Before this, i had mostly russian rifles. I plan on adding a 357 lever rifle/revolver to sit alongside my 1911.

I dont really shoot other than to test how different brands work in my gun and shoot 10-15 paper targets a month. Even if ammo was dirt cheap, i still wouldnt shoot often. I spend a lot of time cleaning/polishing my guns more than shooting.

I believe its different strokes for different folks. My grandpa is the same way with his rifles, he cleans them or take on staining projects only to hang as a picture frame. I skipped an XD45, Glock 30 for a 1911 for obvious reasons, visual aesthetics and how it sits so perfectly in my hands

Congrats. The model number is on the tag: PB9151L, a SA stainless mil-spec. SA makes some good looking 1911.
