    Glock 21 vs CZ 97B

I have a G21, put 1500 rds through her, and I just am not in love with the gun. I truly hate the factory sights on it, and I tend to shoot better with 3 dot sights. I have pretty big paws, so the size of the g21 wasnt an issue.

I just picked up a CZ75B in .40, and I really dig it. I also like the DA/SA abilty of the CZ, and the trigger is sweet in SA. I need to find a CZ 97B to try, and I was wondering your collective thoughts on the 2 pistols.
Metal vs plastic, relatively same price used....

Much appreciative of any input you can give.

I haven't had the pleasure of shooting a 97b yet, but they are indeed rather large pistols. If, as you say, you have large hands and like the CZ 75b design, you should like the 97b. By all accounts, it is a supremely accurate pistol. I've heard that they may not like certain bullet shapes, but, again, I don't have any firsthand knowledge of such. I say go for it, but keep the G21.

I'm a huge fan of CZs, and I hate glocks, so I'm a little biased. As far as the design goes, hands down I'll take the CZ. I think the trigger, action, grip angle, and recoil are all superior to the glock.

The only downside to the CZ is that it is REALLY big. I have relatively large hands, XL/XXL glove size, and I still thought it was a little large for my taste.

          CZ 97 aka the Mjolnir

If the 21 works for you CZ 97 should also.

Going with the thor theme When you get it You should engrave on the Slide

"Whosoever holds this pistol, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor."

Or get a pair of those thin aluminum grips and have a Thor's hammer logo engraved on them. That would be sick! Way better than the played out Punisher grips.

wear L size gloves for most things (occasionally XL, but can even fit into medium sized gloves) and the 97b feels just right for me.

my fingers are relatively short - only normal or slightly large - for how large my hand is though (or my hand is really large for how big my fingers are). this may be why the 97b fits so well for me.

If you like your 75b then you'll love the feel of the 97b over the glock.
Of coarse I'm cz biast, but glocks don't do anything for me. Too generic.

Good luck finding a 97b! That is one sweet pistol. Definitely wanted to try one, but ended up getting the glock 21. I know what you mean about the sights and I just ordered some better ones a few days ago.

I currently own a CZ 97B. I held the G21 on Friday and I can say that the feel of the Glock felt "off" to me. The ergo's on the CZ's just make handling the Glock odd.

The 97B has very little felt recoil due to its size. It's extremely accurate out of the box and even more so with a custom sight. My 97B has CZ custom slim grips and it does help with the grip size but the factory grips aren't that bad as people say.

Rifle Gear has a 97B in stock for $643 if you're interested in holding or buying one.

I wonder if I can find someone to trade straight across. I got 4 mags, and a 1 year old glock with extended slide release...

                        hmmm. Need to fondle/shoot one

Good luck. Seems to me at market prices and how jacked up they are if you can sell a glock for 5-600, you can easily sell a cz for wayyy more, especially based off of rarity. I don't think you'll find ANYONE willin to part with a cz for a streight up trade. I'm not mocking you, just bid you good luck.

Cool, I needed the reality check.

I'll need to throw in some cash, or maybe just buy a new CZ. Sounds like my dad wants my glock... (that sounds dirty)

I have owned many CZs incluidng the 97b....I have regular size hands, wear a M/L glove and have no issues with firing the 97b. It is a bigger gun, but nothing that I would consider un-manigable. If you really have issues with the grips, go with the CZ thin grips and you will be just fine.

I notice that the most common CZ pistol I see is the 97b, so theres a good chance you can find one if your looking.
