I bought my 97B because it fits well in my big hands. My only complaint is the DA pull.... it's long, but not so bad from the half-cocked position.

        Thanks guys,
Lots of CZ fanboiz around. The owners seem to really love 'em. They've got me wanting to try a 97 for sure. IMO they're a pretty nice looking pistol.

I tried one today. Oooh, I liked it a lot. Shot very well with it, too. I am now in the hunt for one. Thinking of selling one of my guns to fund the CZ 97B.

10 days until I pick up my 97b. Grips seem big so I'm going to purchase some slims to try out, if I can find anything in stock anytime soon.

Expect the grip to be huge, that is the only thing that has kept me from buying one so far.

David at Cajun Gun Works absolutely loves the 97b platform, and has told me he stopped shooting his 1911s since he started tuning 97Bs. He loves the platform that much.

CZs in single action are awesome.

How do you get a round chambered and end up in the fully uncocked position?

Been seeing some chatter about maybe a 97b in 10mm being tested. Anyone else hear about this?

Very simple, and now automatic. Grasp the hammer between thumb and forefinger firmly, pull trigger slowly till you feel hammer release, let go of trigger and drop the hammer to half cock position. You are now ready to fire DA. That is for those who do not desire to carry condition one.

So go back and read what I asked. Maybe twice.

I know about half cocked, and the question remains.

BTW, the way to get from cocked to half cocked is to take an overhand grip, stick thumb between hammer and frame, pull trigger, release trigger, remove thumb.
