    CZ 97b

I just won a bid on a CZ 97b and was wondering if anyone has one and what their experience is with it?

A long time ago, a friend let me shoot his SP-01 and i loved it.

Who ever thought the CZ's were that decent. Yes, i've been under a rock and sticking to my traditional guns.

    Thanks guys,

I had one and sold it.
It was accurate and reliable, but the grip was just too big for me.
It's grip makes the Glock 21 grip feel slim.

I shot it a few Times But never bought one. The grip on that thing is HUGE way to big for my small girly hands.

But you got your self a Fine pistol the Near Perfection of a CZ 75 mixed with the awesomeness of .45 ACP.

Have one, love it, never FTFs.

I got it because I liked the SP-01 and for the larger grip.

I have a CZ 97B and it's a tank. Grips can be changed to slim grips from CZ custom if you have trouble with the size. The sights aren't that great so you have options from CGW and CZ custom to make them better. Other than that, it's a great pistol

Funny, I always hear about the grips being too big, but to me its no bigger than a Beretta 92. I have medium sized hands at most and its one of my favorite pistols. Yeah the sights aren't the greatest.

An excellent pistol. Built like a tank. I've had one for about a dozen years and it's my "always loaded" pistol. The grip is big and a long reach to the trigger in DA mode, having large hands helps. My only gripe is not caring for the "chopped off pyramid" rear sight. I replaced it with a wider type from CZ Custom.

I have small/medium hands and the one I handled at Targetmasters in Milpitas felt too chunky in my hands. 1911s fit my hands best with standard sized VZ grips.

You may want to research more, but it seems like they are not designed to shoot hollowpoints either? One calguns member had his heavily customized but it wouldn't feed JHPs.

The newer ones have an upgraded feed ramp that supposedly feeds HPs well.

I rented one and now I want one, my hands are pretty average for a 6' guy and it fit like a glove. Actually a little nicer than the 75, as I recall anyway.

                              cz 97b rocks

I bought mine from Bud's about 6 months ago. I have put 1500 rounds through it without a failure. I paid $602 which is a bargain. It is large but it fits me-6' 225. Dead on accurate, soft recoil for a 45. I hit paper at 15 yards with my first pull. I also have a 75bd decocker 9mm which is also fine but not as accurate out of the box. I have put 10k over 2 years with no problems. They are hard to find new right now. The CZ line are fine pistols. I would not trade my 97 for any I have seen up to $900. You are gonna love it!
