    CZ 75 SP-01

After being a lurker in these forums for a good time, I finally decided to join in. Reading many posts has me convinced that my next purchase should be a CZ 75 SP-01.

However, I was informed that this pistol is very hard to get, and the wait period could be from 6 months to a year. Most are not even willing to place an order for me even if I am okay with the wait.

I live in the SoCal area, and would like to know if anyone knows the cousin of a neighbor's wife's friend that many have one in possession for sale. (preferably new) I would also like to purchase a CZ Kadet kit for inexpensive training.

    Thanks guys.

Good luck. I've been asking shops about this pistol since july and have literally been laughed at for asking.

But, some of the guys on here manage to find one and get lucky.

edit: oh and welcome to calguns, dont forget to introduce yourself.

      I have a CZ-75 BD and I, still, want to get a SP-01 eventually.

Be patient and keep looking. You never know when one might pop out of nowhere.

SP-01 is a good pistol.... All steel & quite accurate, fit & finish is a bit lacking though. The $500 I paid was well spent, but the prices some are charging these days is just a joke! CZ is a great sub $500 pistol, over that there are to many better pistols in that price range!

What's a better choice for the 500+ range?

The fit and finish on my Shadow is as immaculate as any other pistol I own. One of the most underrated pistols in my eyes.

OP, good luck finding one. I couldnt find one so I bought a Shodow through SSE instead just so I could get a CZ in my safe.

Good luck. I've Ben on Turners wait list since November. Great gun. I ended up getting a custom shadow through SSE also but paid heavily for it.

Cz 75 SA, although you get a little more for your buck in the SP01. Night sights mostly, I forget if the barrel is thicker in the SP01.

Both SA and SA/DA are great and you can't go wrong with both. For SA, I believe the Firing Pin Block must be removed for a smoothed out trigger pull. I may be wrong. Just keep this in mind if that safety feature is a must have for you. For the range though, you should be perfectly fine with a SA pull.

Good luck on your search! I got lucky on the Marketplace here for my SP-01 (local) and just this weekend, I found a used 75B (never been shot before - safe queen) at my LGS at an awesome price!

Just need some luck, time/gas to scour around!

Although I really want an sp01, I love my SA beavertail and trigger pull the best as of right now.

SP01 is a great pistol...If you find one, buy it before it dissappears. I havent seen one in person for about a year. It is by far one of my favorites...even more so than my 75 SA.

Also for those interestd, I saw a CZ75b Compact at iron sights in Oceanside last night. First time seeing one of these locally.

There was a SP-01 here locally in SD last week. They wanted $789 for it.
