I'm thinking of getting a cz75b .40. I'm even going to pay $650 shipped and transferred for it. What are some experiences on them? I have a sigma in 40 so that's one plus.

Much prefer the 9. I'd also skip on the B and get the SA or an SP01 for the better beavertail.Sandstorm Custom Rifle Slings : Custom Paracord slings

I was told the 9 is the best because that's what it was made for. The .40 is good too, but I think there are more issues/less reliable. Great guns nonetheless.Comment

Unless he goes for the stainless. I have the upswept beavertail on my 75B stainless.
But I'd love the SA for the custom trigger (flat one) for the pre and post travel adjustments.CLXXIV

Ignore the party poopers trying to start a caliber war OP. I own the gun you ordered. I find it to be an awesome handgun. The trigger pull out-of-the-box is fine for me, but others like to tinker with it. I also like the DA/SA operation though others, such as hickok45, don't. Too bad, I find it insignificant.
The .40cal in my opinion is better for my steel target shooting. I actually hear the ping and see movement from the target. With the 9mm I did not (but I still own a 9mm handgun).
For SD, HD or SHTF, 40 cal will do just fine. Ask the 70% of the police departments in this country.Comment

Sorry, not true. There are no reliability problems with my cz75b in 40 at all. And when you move to a free state I believe the 40 will carry 12 rnds in a magazine.Comment

I say stick with the 9 because of issues of frame wear and slide stops is *more common* (rear more common, not consistent) with .40 models. Granted this was more of an issue with older models.Last edited by zfields; 02-26-2013, 12:51 PM.Sandstorm Custom Rifle Slings : Custom Paracord slings
