    US made glock or not?

Hey I wanted to purchase a Glock 36. Noticed on the roster page for Glock it says US made Glocks are not on roster. So how can I tell the deference between a US Glock or one from a land far away? Any kind of different , markings?

Please point me in the right direction

The say USA on the side of the slide instead of Austria. You can't miss it.

Thanks, I didn't realize they had USA roll marks. Wow I wonder why most shops in my area (Orange County) Say their not planning on getting any more Glocks. A guy at Field time told me over the phone that, "we won't ever see Glocks in CA again". I just thought psh I'll go order online. I wonder why they won't just request good to go Austrian pistols from Glock.

Good luck with your purchase/search. Glock is backordered by around 300K units according to GlockStore.com. They just can't keep up with the current demand. Not sure CA is Glock's first priority, especially that there's still an ongoing "issue" with USA-made Glocks. I haven't seen any new Glock in local stores recently. Maybe in a few months things will normalize again.

Glocks built in the USA are exported. Glocks with the Austria marks will still be sold in Kalifornistan. (and the rest of the country) Only gen3.

Only about 75 USA Glocks have been sold here. Rare indeed.

I know Gun Stores that are getting shipments of GLOCKS from their distributors and whatever FieldTime said about no more Glocks in California is FUD.

I just saw a brand new GLOCK 19 GEN4 built (birth date) on 1-30-13, 23 days ago here in California. It says AUSTRIA on the slide.

            Saw it last week.

Well, we all know that Gun Store Employee's are not reliable sources for any information.

More than likely the USA stamp on the slide is the problem. Just like the CDOJ required identical handguns to go thru the testing, fees...etc. when the only difference between them is the FRAME COLOR. Sounds crazy but that is how-they-roll over at the CDOJ..

If the California vs Austria Glock has the same SKU/Part number, then it should be legal. Look at the Beretta 92FS, you can get it Italian or US. If the US pistol has a different stock number than the Austrian, and that number was not the one submitted with the three sample guns for testing, then it is a "different" gun and is not approved. Gun Control by any name.

Where do you find the BOD (Born-on Date)?

I have several new Blue-box Glocks.

                              Thanks.
