Neither one of them yet has a pressure switch option or dedicated weapon mount as far as I know. They make great hand held tac-lights. Also the TK10 is larger, heavier, and higher output. It has a larger reflector and takes two 123 size batteries to the NDI's 1AA size. They really fill different niches with the TK10 in the same realm as a 6P Surefire or Gladius and the NDI filling the area where Fenix lights now seem to dominate.

Sorry, no experience with those, doing a quick search though, here's a TLR-1 review

Haven't been able to use mine yet, as I brought only the 2D cell Mag with me. But the 6D at home is gonna have a nice surprise
Those things are sweet, but do a search for the MAG85 conversion if you really want to have fun. Jam a custom high output 9AA battery pack in a 3D maglite with a metal reflector, glass lens, and a Welch Allyn 1185 medical devices bi-pin halogen bulb. 1200 lumens That makes a great car light. Mine lasts about 40 minutes. Brighter than a surefire M6 millennium. No joke.

I thought the TK-10 had a clicky on switch? I was planning on using a simple VLTOR scout mount that can take most flashlights as long as the body diameter is around 1"

Ah. Leaving my realm of expertise here. I know a fair amount about flashlights (but make no claim to being an expert), but very little about mounting them on weapons. I should state that while I own way too many lights, the TK10 is not one of them. It is one of the latest coolest 2cr123 tactical lights and gets great reviews. I don't want to represent myself as knowing more than I actually do though.
The TK10 is 34mm OD (outer diameter) according to the manufacturer - that works out to about 1.34". It does use a SF-style forward clicky mounted on the back which sticks out tactical-style (light will not tailstand). It should work if it fits in the mount then.

More that it is the latest/greatest/most-buzz-about-it in that category of light. The Surefire UA1 Optimus should take the crown back when that starts shipping in mid to late summer, followed by the even cooler (or brighter rather) UB2 Invictus. That said, those lights will cost 3-4 times what a TK10 costs (they do alot more though). The unique thing about the Fenix T series (compared to SF, Gladius, Lumapower M1, Inova, Olight T20, Dereelight, Tiablo, etc) is how tough they are built. Some guys on CPF put the TK1's predecessor the T1 through really brutal torture tests (like tying a string to it and dragging it behind you while you run five miles on concrete and such). There are alot of lights in that category, but these are just really overbuilt. That said, some people have questioned the threaded holes for the pocket clip and think that the clip may only be able to be removed and installed so many times on the new TK10. Not a big deal, and it could always be re-tapped. It could also be said that such criticism sheds light on how tough the rest of it is

The best advice I can give is to start looking through CPF if you have a real interest in these kinds of lights. You will find all sorts of stuff you had never before thought to spend money on. If you're just looking for a top notch tac-light with the latest tech NOW, the TK10 seems a great light and it is what I would buy to fit that category.

        Hope that helps,
        -Pete

I know that 34mm is used for some euro scopes so there may be rings for it. Also, you could use shims with Millett 35mm scope rings maybe. I don't really know how those mounts work though so maybe that doesn't help.

For a dedicated weapon light you may just want to use a SF 6P with one of the many cool drop-in emitters available. As a dedicated weapon light, many of the features built in to the TK10 would not be used. Also the 6P has a whole world of available accessories like filters, diffusers, and tailcaps which you could use. It is also slightly lighter weight and every once seems to count when hung out on the end of an AR

**EDIT** Come to think of it, you may want to email Fenixstore.com. I just realized that 34mm OD might be the OD of the bezel and not the OD of the body which means it might still work for you. Since I don't actually have one of the lights I can't measure the body OD, but it might be worth checking into...

yeah i just realized that too, this thread confirms 1" tube size!

that means all conventional mounts are usable

Maybe it would be helpful if I made a few adapters to fit the mini mag light into the 1 inch weapon light mounts ?

would I have any takers ?

Price would be dependent on time involved and material cost.

I think Daniel defense already makes bushings like that.
