    IS THIS TRUE?

Does this mean I have to get a higher caliber for my first Glock pistol?

If you're an 11 year old little girl, yes. Get a gun you can handle.

I got no problem shooting a 45 but I wanted my first to be a 9mm so that my wife can use it for home defense too if needed. Now.... I don't want a gun that just because I didn't shoot it right due to my angle, to not go bang. You know what I mean?

It has nothing to do with caliber. If you are worried then don't get a polymer gun. Get something that is heavy and has mass. Beretta 92, Cz75, 1911 in 9mm, etc. Get something that has mass in the frame.

Can happen with any gun you choose.

Unfortunately (net chatter) looks to happen more consistently with the 9mm Glocks.
Just hold it with a good grip is the simple fix.

Learn your weapon's strength and weakness, and train properly with it.
Range session will tell you if you trust your weapon.

My alternate route would be a Barretta 92fs... your thoughts?

Great gun. Getting mine out of jail tomorrow! I would pick the Beretta over a Glock anyday but that's just my preference. Both are great guns!

Yep, I don't mind the 5inch barrel from the Barretta

Crappy pistol in my opinion, and Beretta is just expensive. (Mags, replacement parts, weight, etc)

Just get a Glock 19 or a S&W XD: Both are good guns, and more reliable/cheaper than the Beretta.
