Pusher is on it's way to you. If you need to hold on to it for 2-3 weeks to get your sights dialed in at the range, it's isn't a problem.

Because when I bought powder last time, they has 231 and not 38....either way price difference is almost nothing.


I'm curious again why you are wanting to get all this stuff to supposedly get a leg up, yet you still wont say what sport and which classification you want to shoot in. The biggest thing to give yourself an advantage at this point assuming you are shooting production is shoot your 9mm. It really seems like you have your mind made up on what you want, considering you are arguing points that both Gryff and I are bringing up.

I see, its more or less I just practice the drills that I learned in the military and just practice shooting along with reloading and quick draw,but from a drop rig since I dont have a side holster.

And for what classification that I want to shoot in is CDP as far as I read and it looks like I can do ssp and esp

Drop leg/thigh rigs are not legal in idpa, and I'm pretty confident the same is true in uspsa.

Not sure what you meant with the second part of your statement, but your xd is legal in CDP and ESP, but not ssp (which is for double action guns, but the xd is ruled a single action gun). In ESP you can run 10 rounds in your mags but you will still be at a disadvantage because you will be competing against guys using softer shooting 9mm guns.

Focus more on the essentials, buy the junk later. A good bladetech, or even a uncle mikes ( ran one for my xd, really liked it), a few mag holsters, and give it a go.

As for the drop leg holster, I just practice it because its gi and i would use that more in military situations than anything. As I just practice on my accuracy, trigger squeeze, sight picture, breathing and practicing shooting with 2 eyes open when it comes to indoor ranges and urban ops when Im out on blm. But Im leaning more towards CDP for IDPA since its only 45acp and maybe USPSA Limited 10 division. And that does make sense with the ESP with me shooting a 45 and others shooting 9mm.

So I currently have the following installed on my xd
-PRP match trigger kit
-Dawsion F/O front
-Dawsion Black adjustable rear
-springer 1911 guide rod
-springer 1911 14lb recoil spring
-Hougue grip

I shot the local match at Prado last week and today I shot the classifier and ranked Marksman and was very close to sharpshooter and also I will be competing in the Socal Reginol match next week on the 20. Man can I say I love this sport and cant wait to compete in others like ipsca, uspsa, and steel. Other than the first stage nervousness im pretty good, just got to work more on not getting nervous all the time and Im golden.

I was wondering when you adjust the rear sight for a load would it have to be adjusted for a hotter load and also what yard am I suppose to sight it in because I sighted in at 15.

Well with only 2 matches under my belt with one of them being a regional match, I have improved a great amount since with in the short period of time. Having classified as a marksman and a couple seconds shy of sharpshooter and winning my division for the regional, I think I can improve a lot more and I aim on becoming a master. And quick question, should I first aim for my goals in IDPA before entering in IPSCA/USPSA/Steel Challenge, or should I get into another if ammunition is not a problem since basically competing is just another form of practicing along with finding out what to improve on.

Also if anyone is free on May 18, I will be competing at a local match at Prado.
