    Holster problem/advice/recommendation?

So I ordered this holster for my Sig P229 Enhanced Elite 9mm and the gun does not fit:

It goes about halfway in, about to the back of the ejector port then just gets stuck. These holsters were recommended to me and I had previously got one of these for a Glock 17 and it worked just fine.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is the Enhanced Elite 229 maybe wider than a standard 229 or something?

Can you recommend a good alternative to this paddle holster?

It's a piece of junk. I don't know what you're going to use the holster for, but I'd suggest getting either a custom made leather or kydex. There are a host of manufacturers. It will cost upwards of $100 but will last forever.
    This.

If you want to stick with basic production stuff, check out Safariland. I had one I really liked that was one of there 5180 series.

They may have just sent you the wrong one, but at $17 I'm not sure how much you can expect except for it to sort of fit. It's worth telling them they sent the wrong one but you may just get a different, wrong one.

Unfortunately, decent holsters always seem to be $75++

As said above, Safariland has some decent stuff.

BLACKHAWK! has some decent holsters as well.

I own a couple of both, like them for different reasons.

I'm starting to venture into the Kydex and other custom holster world.

Bottom line, you usually get what you pay for...

Blackhawk is a good alternative, i'm pretty sure it's the rails that is hanging that holster up. If your not too worried about destrying your holster a heat gun will most likely making that holster fit your gun.

You could try the Safariland 568 paddle. They make one for the Sig enhanced P229. The plain finish number is 568-54-411 and will look like mine. Nice paddle holster for the price and also comes with a belt attachment. I also use the Magazine paddle #572-83-41. I use them both in IDPA and for concealed carry. Very nice product for the price and very very convenient having paddles for both the weapon and the Magazines.

As for why yours wont fit I' am not sure. Does it have an adjustment to loosen? Maybe it's getting caught up on the locking mechanism. I' am not real fond of those plastic and Kydex holster myself.. They are very hard on the finish.

You get what you pay for, set up to a custom leather or kydex holster.

I love my Raven concealement. They're not cheap, but I don't regret buying it.

Get yourself a decent holster from Comp-Tac or Blade-Tech, or perhaps Black Dog Concealment. I have yet to find a $20 holster that I didn't feel was a waste of money.

It does sound like it is hanging up on the rail. I don't know who recommended that holster to you, but they didn't do you any favors...at least it was a cheap mistake.
