Recommendations for 1911 22lr conversion kit

Looking for a conversion kit. What do my fellow Calgunners recommend?
I know most kits come with 1 mag. I eventually plan on buying 3 more for a total of 4. I'll most likely use this kit for Pistol courses I take with TASC.

I plan on using this kit with my Kimber.

I thought about buying a GSG 1911 but hear they have problems with their frames / slides cracking?

I've heard good things about the kimber kit. Not sure how easy it is to find now but it used to be 300 at cabelas.

+1 on the Kimber kit. Works well with my springfield 1911.

I hear great things about the Kimber 22lr kit but the constant complaints I keep hearing is that they need a steady diet of CCI Minimags to run smoothly. Most bulk .22lr do not have enough "umph" to cycle the slide etc.

I love my Kimber TLE but rather spend the $ on a dedicated .22 platform. For 275$ I got a Ruger MarkIII 22/45, Eats all sorts of ammo and then some.

I have a Kimber rimfire target kit but they're like $335. the GSG kit is about $100 cheaper and I hear it works well.

First 500 or so rounds I ran CCI Mini Mags thru the conversion kit. After that mine's been eating Federal Bulk 525 packs without a whole lot of problems. An occasional FTE or FTF but gives me the opportunity to run malfunction drills.

Saw the kimber kits today at a local gun shop looked nice but the guy there says the advantage arms kit is a little nicer and the slide hold back on the last round fired.

I'm happy with my Kimber Conversion kit - used some mini-mags and Winchester M-22 to break it in. Since then been using Federal Bulk without any problems - other than finding ammo for it that is... lately I've been shooting more .45 than .22 since I started reloading and it's easier to scrounge for primers/projectiles than finding ammo.

I'll be using my 1911 in a Tactical Pistol course. Like to train on the same platform. I'd shoot 45acp if it wasnt so expensive nowadays. Hence, conversion kit.

Get a dedicated one... If you like the 1911 platform, get the GSG .22LR for around $100 more than the Kimber kit.
