Beretta M9A1

If you had the choice between the M9 and an Italian made 92FS, which would you choose and why? I was told it doesn't really matter, but if I knew at the time, I would have acquired the M9.

Also, any suggestions for a grip upgrade? Is it 'tacticool'/ not smart to take the Italian made 92FS and place M9 grip bolts on it?

Terrible site, wonderful grips. They make the otherwise gigantic grips of the 92 (or M9) almost feel like a single stack (almost...).

I have a 92FS on layaway, the sights where the deciding factor. I like the 3 dots apposed to the 2 dots.

Kinda hard to shoot with just the rebuild kits... That would make me a sad Panda.

Thats why I went with Ca compliant mags
IIRC the US made M9A1 comes with 15 round mags instead of 17 for those outside of Ca.

I went with the US built version 'cause it's made in the US
I hated the plastic grips that came with my M9A1 and swapped them out for the factory walnut grips straight away, feels so much better and IMO looks way better too.

You can have them, you just can't use them in CA or any other "low capacity" state. No, there is no way around the 10 rd limit in CA.

Well if the mags were purchased before 94 then they are legal. You can use them, you can have them, you just can't build them or sell them. My sig sauer p226 was purchased before 94 and comes with 15rd standard mags, i took it to the range several times.
