Hummm....Id rather shoot 5oo rounds ,and let the trigger break its self in than buy a trigger and only shoot half the ammo cause i spent $125+ on a trigger i really did not need....Uh !

I shot the XD, the Glock 19 and the Smith M&P then I bought the SIG Pro 2022. It was the trigger that sold me on the SIG...10lb double and 4.7lb single. I like the long trigger pull on the double action

Me too . I love my sig pro .40. Kinda wanted a striker fire. This xd9 tactical should be fun!

I recently got an XD45 and put about 150 rounds through it the first day. The next day I ordered the PRP trigger kit http://shop.powderriverprecision.net...4&categoryId=2

The trigger isn't bad, but I'm so used to the Glock trigger, that the XD just didn't feel right. As others have said, it's a longer take up and a longer reset. With the PRP Ultimate Match kit, it's close to the Glock if not better! I'm almost liking the XD more than my Glock

xd40 4"....trigger pull took getting used to for maybe 100-200 rounds....now i don't like the trigger pull on anything else. i think part of it for me was learning to use my fingertip to depress the trigger safety naturally instead of fighting it and pulling with the crease of my finger if you get what i'm saying.

That price must be for a .45, I paid $12 /50 for 9mm so it would only be $120. Plus my XD9 Tactical only took about 300 rds to break in. Love that gun!!

I have a PRP drop in trigger kit for my XD9. I already loved the XD it is a fantastic gun, and fits my hand way better than Glock does. The XD9 with a trigger job is one hell of a gun!

I put a Springer Precision kit in my XD45 compact. Love it. I had about 1,000 rounds thru it before I did the kit. Really works great

It definitely is a matter of personal preference. I personally don't care for the long pull of the trigger and immediately replaced the stock one without even firing it. Prior to that I had shot both the XDm and XD the year prior. The PRP ultimate match kit is a significant improvement (IMHO) as it reduced the pull and reset by about 60%. Having the parts out of the pistol also allows for polishing of surfaces providing for a nice smooth pull. Just an FYI, all the PRP parts have an excellent fit and finish to them and install easily.

Again, the stock trigger isn't horrible if you are planning the gun to be a competition setup, but it is definitely possible to significantly improve it (and, I hate to over-sell the upgrade, but the improved trigger feels really good).
^^^ This, agreed with Gryff and the others re XD trigger improvements.

Ours was decent, stock it IS nice, but for us we like the improved feel/shortened take up of a kitted XD. After dry-firing a couple different XD's at classes a couple years ago, last year we went with a PRP kit. Very VERY happy with it, and the XD is even mo bettah now.

Great pistol, OP glad to hear you are enjoying. Stay safe.

I have a PRP kit in my XD9 and to me was a big improvement over the factory trigger and I installed roughly after putting 1000 rounds through it.

Which one did you get? The with the Ultimate Match kit, you have to do some sanding of parts to make them fit. That's what takes the longest, otherwise it's a simple install.
