    Keep or Sell Rebuild Kits

    I got a gun for Christmas that came with 3 17 round rebuild kits. I have been able to get some factory 10 round magazines for $25 each plus shipping.

    I could probably get $50 each on GB for them; that's $150. That money would buy me 6 more 10 round magazines.

    BTW, shipping is only $10 no matter how many magazines I order.

    Should I sell the kits and buy magazines or keep the kits in case the magazine laws get changed in CA?

      If the laws change you can just buy complete mags then. Otherwise what good are rebuild kits right now if you're not rebuilding mags you already owned pre-2000?

      If it's easier to buy new 10 rounders than to retrofit to 10 rounds (and possibly destroy the value of) these rebuild kits, it would make sense to sell them for today's market price.

                      Never sell: Ammo, rebuild kits or anything related to AR Platform Rifles.

                          If you're fortunate to have the 17 rnders then keep them. Money is liquid, mags are an investment. Just wait and see what happens with this years ****storm of gun laws.

                                  I voted to keep them. If the high capacity magazine ban passes, you'll never be able to buy rebuild kits again. Just buy some 10 rounders for the range and keep the rebuild kits in case the need to use high capacity magazines ever arises. I doubt magazine laws will ever change in Commiefornia

                                          Sell them, but know that you might not fetch that high of a price. I sold OEM Beretta rebuilds on GB last week and only fetched ~$23 per mag. Though my USP 12 round rebuild got 55$.

                                                  Keep them. You will likely be glad you did.

                                                  Pick up 10s when you can and extra springs.

                                                  or block them to 7 rounds and beat the rush.
