    handgun 30 day wait question?

I purchased a handgun on 12/15/12 last month, but got it out of jail on 12/29/12.

Is my 30 day wait over on 1/15/13 this month or 1/29/13? Thanks

Also, private party sales are exempt from the one in thirty rule. Buy as many as you can afford.

It has nothing to do with payments. It is 30 days from the time the dealer files the DROS. So, if you filed the DROS on 12/15/12 at noon your 30 days is up on 1/14/13 at noon.

                Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Is it 30 days to pick up a new hand gun or 30 days to start another DROS?

30 days from the moment start the dros

Just check the date on your dros statement from dealer then +30 calendar days.

So if I understand correctly, I have to wait 30 days from the my last DROS to start another DROS. I just hope what i'm looking at will be back on sale by then.

Some shops will let you buy before the 30 days, but they hold it and you can't start the DROS until the 30 is up. Then you have to wait the extra 10 days as normal.

Yep, I've done this several times ... bought two Sigs, DROS one and then waited the 30 days to DROS the other.

I do it a lot. I actually don't mind it because it gives me a few weeks to get familiar with one gun, check it for reliability, and then pick up a new one. I'm currently booked out to fall.
