Really? Based on the map provided Solano county is a "NO issue"!

The map is out of date. Santa Barbara is a no-issue. Like impossible if you are not law enforcement.

Sonoma is a not a chance in hell issue. Someone on here got one but it was long and hard road for approval. The police chiefs and sheriff in sonoma county have a nice little group meetings to discuss how to run their county. If you are rejected by a city you will be rejected the the county unless you change the very good cause. Money is not a good cause.

One good thought...before you apply, get some documented training from any class you can take. Safety, tactics, anything to show that you have put forth some effort to get some knowledge and skills. You will present yourself to your sheriff a better product than the average applicant.

You can get one thru your local PD also. But depends on where you live. Most are kind of tough that I have heard. Also, I wonder if age has anything to do with it. I'm older, so mine was easier than I thought. Be nice to see who under 40 has gotten a CCW in California. It should not matter, but I bet it does. Mine only took 30 days from when I turned in my package.
Maybe they give older guys quicker because we are closer to croaking and they take pitty on us!

It all depends on your county, I am in Fresno county and Mimms said she is pro carry. I'm calling the the sheriffs office tomorrow to start my application process, maybe in a year I will have it

False. It really depends on the county you reside in. Counties such as Sacramento are extremely easy to get your license to carry.

NOT TRUE. Depends on where you live.
Shasta County is very easy to get.

Yeah sac is easy. I've been researching and sonoma has in the past, denied for past denial. Crappy. When is calguns going to challenge the fact that in Mendocino county the person who does the same job as me for the same company can be issued a concealed weapon, but because of where I live I cannot.

Never... well maybe not a never, but at least a decade. Looks like a ton of court cases are taking 5-10 years to make their rounds. Sunshine initiative has been in effect since ~2010? So we got ways to go. Unfortunately, we go from easiest to hardest. That means most urban and densely populated counties, where its needed the most, are the last to be fought for.
