I like to revisit old discussions from time to time. New things are discovered, new products are added as are new experiences. By now most people know that the search function is pretty close to useless. We are here to chat and learn. What is old news to one is new and exciting news to someone else. Your Thoughts on Frog Lube

Somebody bought me a tube last year to try out. I've been using it ever since. It cleans much better than other cleaners i've used (Hoppes, breakfree CLP, etc) and smells much better. To the point that not only does my wife not kick me out anymore, but she even helps me clean my guns after shooting!
As a lube, I have tested it in my Colt 6920 and Sig P226 during training classes shooting in excess of 1000 rounds without a single malfunction after only the initial lubing before the first day. That's pretty much expected out of a Sig, but I was more impressed with that out of the Colt AR. For me, based on my experiences with it, I highly recommend it and use FrogLube almost exclusively. I don't use it as a copper cleaner, and i don't heat any of my equipment, but as a basic CLP it works great. In my experience.Comment

No issues with Frog Lube. I also use the paste. My 1911's seem happy with it. Smells good too.One Way to Post Pics ********** How to Submit an iTrader Rating That Counts ********** Brass for Sale

Yea, same for me.
I don't want to sound like a Luddite, but for most of us, if there is a difference in quality between all of the gun/bike/car lubes discussed on the forum, it just doesn't matter.
Are you rolling in the sand while betting your life on your next shot and storing your sidearm in a swamp while waiting for a day to advance your position? I'm a 50+ living in No. CA so not seeing a lot of swamps.
Anyway, I think it's great that the shooting community experiments and reviews items like lubes and such.
But does it matter? Will your sidearm or rifle last noticeably longer, be more reliable or more accurate based on your choice? Um, doubt it.

I'm not sure if the poster means cooper in the bore but it seems to clean my bore to a mirror finish.
I use a bore snake and wire brush anlong with the Frog Lube.
I heat treated all my guns with Frog Lube and I love it.
My AR, no more carbon built up...
Even my AK...not sure why because it doesn't need it...lolComment

For $25 I cot 4 oz of paste, 4 oz of liquid, and a microfiber cloth. I have treated two guns twice, cleaned another with it and treated it, and cleaned one of the treated guns again after firing since then, and have used very little, a lot less than I did with other stuff. Also it is a CLP, I don't think "superlube is" but correct me if I am wrong
Whatever one's opinion, one has to consider not just the cost per quantity, but how far that quantity stretches. With Froglube my experience is that it stretches very farComment
