"Remmy Goldens", isn't that ammo produced by Eley?
I must've gotten the reject batch for Federal Gold Medal because I was getting 8-10 duds per box. I thought I was getting light strikes, but I had another shooter next to me try a box in his brand new Mk III, same problem, and he wasn't having any problems with with his CCI ammo.Comment

I'm using Federal Gold in my Pardini SPE and I haven't had any issues with it so far. If I got 8-10 duds / box I'd try another brand and if they work I'd place a nice call to Federal customer serviceOriginally posted by phish"Remmy Goldens", isn't that ammo produced by Eley?

I had to quit buying Remington Golden because it's not very reliable in my MK512 - lots of duds - and it sticks in my 10/22 mags, causing FTFs unless you whack the mag a few times. It works fine in my High Standard .22 revolvers and pretty well in my Marlin 60, and most of the MK512 duds fire fine in my revolvers. My Beretta Bobcat chokes on it, but it chokes on almost everything except CCI Minimags and Stingers.
Accuracy has been pretty mediocre, too, with noticably different reports and recoil within the same box.
My cheap .22 replacement ammo has been Zappers, which work well in almost all of my .22s. It costs a few bucks more per brick, but it more than makes up for it in lack of aggravation, and the accuracy is much better.
Minimags and SK are my gold standards...

I dont have a rifle yet but my new SIG Mesquito is quite picky. I would have to agree with everyone about the CCI Mini Mags though. Ive put 500+ of them though without a failure. So thats what Im sticking with. I might give the Wolf stuff a try though.Comment
