Well considering that 1911s seem to be the only gun I am completely comfortable with grip wise, I should have a safe full of them, but I just have one Kimber Classic Stainless II, that was customized by Chuck Rogers... Never selling this 1911.

I like variety so I don't typically have duplicates, that's why I have 1 1911, 1 Glock, 1 Makarov, 1 1858 Remington Uberti replica 45LC, 1 Over/under 12 ga., 1 Semi-auto 12 ga., 1 AR, and 1 C&R (yes, just one, for now). About the only things I have an abundance of are Brass, Primers, and Bullets.

We have all been there or somewhere similar. Just go with it.

I've only got 1 1911 right now (SA TRP Operator) but I've put around 18 - 20,000 rounds thru her in the first 1 1/2 years.

I just ordered a SA Professional w/ rail to keep my other one company.

You know what you've got to do now, don't you? You've got to find someone with a 1911 unfitted frame for sale, and build your own!

Ah yes, 1911's are my favorites, but I only have four, two Colts and two Kimbers. Well, five if you include my Colt Govt. model .380. I love the Kimber Ultra CDP II. It is a sickness, I need to stay away from the 1911 section in the stores, or I'll get myself into trouble.

i just got my first 1911 a few months back (a 1911 clone by Kimber, Custom II)...i bought it after trying a couple 1911 rentals at the local range - I dunno why i like them, it's like nostalgia or something.

Are those 1950 to 1960s Colt Agentine models worth picking up? I mean are they reliable in function etc?

I added to my collection today... DROSed a Series 70 9mm Commander. I'm so flabbergasted! Will make a nice addition to my 9mm 1911 collection.
