    quick handgun safety test question

so you know that written test you have to take before your eligible to purchase handguns? i was just wondering these things: 1) do pretty much all gun stores offer this test 2) is there a booklet or a study guide i can get? if so, can i find it online or do i have to pay for it at a gun store? thanks, sorry for the total noob question

        1. Yes.

        2. You can go here and download the study guide or go to your local gun store and pay a couple of bucks for the study guide. http://oag.ca.gov/firearms/hscinfo

I believe the study guide is like $0.50 at any Local Gun Store.

I got a perfect score without even looking at the guide, it's really easy to pass the HSC.

you can purchase your handgun as soon as you pass and issued a hsc card. correcting the test sheet is the only wait you have to do.

No waiting period. You immediately get the piece of paper that says you're competent enough to own a handgun in CA.

you can buy the gun the same day if you pass, and after that its the 10 day waiting period to pick up the gun

No wait. You can purchase same day. It's a 10/11 day wait to take possesion of purchase.

if your not the kind of person who likes to read when they are studying, you could always go on turners website and watch the video study guide.

Interestingly enough I had a hard time finding a shop to give me the hsc without first commuting to buy a gun from them. I was told that it was a pita to get them ready om the state so they were stingy with them. I ended up getting it at the shop that will sse my 220 when it gets in
