In search of a single action 9mm

Okay so ive posted on here before in my search of the perfect 9mm for me, i had asked about the xd series, talked about the s&w sigma and m&p series and several other of the current production 9mm's out there...but ive realized after taking some time to handle a few more guns and try a couple different things out that a SAO is really the only kind of semi-auto for me.

I thought after some time i might warm up to the polymer (polymer isnt out of the question, i just havent found a polymer SAO) guns i tried, but simply cannot get used to the double staged or DA/SA triggers, and the more i shoot my ruger mkiii and 1911 the more un-used to the other triggers i get.

What are the options for SAO 9mm semi autos out there? The ones i know about and am looking at are the CZ75 in SAO but ive been having a hard time finding one, a Hi Power but may be a little out of my price range, or a 1911 in 9mm, most likely the RIA which i would love to have but am not sure about how a 1911 would run in 9mm.

So what other model SAO 9mms are out there? Anyone have anything to say about the three i have in my sights so far?

    Thanks for any advice,
    David

Either of JMB's designs would be a good choice.

      1911 or Hi Power.
      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

        SAO 9mm

I am getting ready to retire and have a few too many guns. How about a nice Stainless Steel Stoeger 9mm Luger? Most accurate 9mm I have ever owned. Definitely Not Double Action. Six Bills. Sacramento Ca.

              ^ this.

Both are excellent firearms in 9mm.

Take the time to find a CZ 75B SA. Excellent weapon. You will not regret it.

The Smith & Wesson Performance Center 952 is a sweet SAO single stack 9mm. It's mags hold 9 rounds. It's heritage is bullseye pistol and it it is very accurate.

I love my glocks but when I really want to enjoy shooting to the fullest I use my Hi Power . Just looking at it makes me appreciate the genius of JB

CZ75B SA 9mm and the CZ75 SA in .40 are both on the CA list, so you have them shipped in to an FFL from CZCustom without an SSE. Their price is $514 but probably out of stock right now.

From what I have seen on other forums they are slow sellers as they don't fit well in competition classes for IDPA, USPSA etc..

Now that I think about it, just buy any CZ you like and convert it to SA only.

                        CZ 75 TS (Tactical Sport)
                        Kimber 9mm Target (1911)
                        Sig 226 X5

They're still on the List and >$1000. But all great shooters.

HK P7 M13. Probably the most accurate gun I"ve ever shot. It is unique and reliable so far. Maybe a little heavy for CCW ( which I don't) but overall a great handgun.

Browning Hi Power: also very accurate and reliable. It fits my hand better than the HK ( and most other handguns) and I like the sights as well. And, FWIW, A visually beautiful handgun.

I had a Colt 1911 in 9mm. FTF and FTE with several types of ammo, especially hollow points. Easiiest to CCW of the three if that's what you're doing with it. And it was the least accurate of the three. So, I sold it..

In the end, my recommendation is the Browning. Expensive? Yep, but worth it.
