I think a CW is in my future. I put about 140 rounds through a CM40 today, and I don't plan to do any more.
I'd like to try a CM9, but the grip is pretty small in my hands.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

I like mine a lot. I replaced the trigger spring, and the guide rod spring as well. Both were wolff springs, and trigger is a little lighter, although a little long. A bit different to get used to shooting, but they are solid little guns. I polished the feed ramp, slide stop, barrel, and guide rod. MAYBE it smoothed things out a bit, but honestly I doubt it. I've never had a failure of any type with it, and I have a crossbreed holster, as well as a Betz custom leather holster. Both are great holsters, but I use the Betz more often.

Only real con I can think of is its a bit large to be a pocket gun, and definitely small enough for CCW.

Either way, buy one. For the price, they're a lot of gun.

At about 500 rounds, I had the action cleaned up a bit and the rear edge of the MIM slide stop lever beveled
Do these mags look right? The first bullet looks ok to me, but the next one is 90 degrees to the back of mag? I only know what 1911's and Glocks look like. I'm going to run a bunch of caps thru it after the match tomorrow.

They look fine...at least from here

My magazines feed the same way. It bothered me at first, so I fiddled with it some. As the top round feeds, the rim of the next round raises to the top of the lips and the nose pivots up until the case is parallel with the feed lips. At least that is what I think happens (I simulated the returning slide with a tooth brush and pushed the top round off the lips)

However it works, it does work and my rounds aren't nose diving into the top of the mag body

yup. Mine has 2 upgrades. I went to a solid guide rod, and added the night sights. Carry load is Critical Defense.

I ran over 100 caps of reloads thru it today after the match, worked fine. Trigger reset is way forward, different than a Glock. Will put another several hundred thru it before putting it on my permit.

chuckdc, where did you get the captured guide rod? the un-captured one is a PITA, also what night sights?

I think of it as shooting a tuned S&W K-frame. Stroke through the trigger and release to reset at a constant speed, the goal is to get the sights back onto target before the striker releases again

I know that part, but it is so way forward of the reset for a Glock. Another 500 rounds and it will feel right... It is a really nice piece of hardware though. The slide stop is also the take down lever, allmost like a Glock but with only one button!

Jail = slang term used by firearm enthusiasts in California for the 10 day wait that we are bound by current law to abide by until we can gain access to our legally acquired property.
