I have not yet evolved into the revolver phase of gun addiction so I don't always appreciate them, but... let's see, how shall I put this?

        Hubba, Hubba, WOW!!!
Too many hobbies, Too little time.

        Mind you, I'm 5'7", 180, with a visible Ab...

          Congrats!
Any idea when your Python was made? My last Python was nickel plated with
rubber presentation grips made around mid-late 80's.
And my blue NIB early 80's w/factory wood grips. Both 6" with sweet triggers.
You will enjoy the feel, plus it has a longer sight radius.
          Congrats once again!

You can always find a nice pair of 3rd generation original colt Python wood grips on ebay for around $250 to $300 average price is around $220 ive bought a few pairs on ebay.

Also try the colt forum they are always being sold there.

Your Python is way to nice to be a range gun especially if you are looking for a colt box and original wood grips.

                Congrats.

Eventually I'll order original wood grips and have a custom presentation box made.

Well colt doesn't make original wood python grips anymore so your best bet is ebay or the colt forum or even calguns.

Presentation boxes are not always the best idea for storing a Python depending on the material of the insert that the Python will lay upon, as it can sometimes cause damage to the bluing over time. I would suggest you store it in a bore store, a gray cloth pouch which has protective inner sheath that will not harm the bluing.
