I have a Kholster for my XD40sc. Looks just like a Crossbreed only less than half the price. The warranty sold me more than anything. 90 days satisfaction guaranteed for ANY reason and lifetime against breakage or defects. You can even trim and modify for personal use and it does not void the warranty. Excellent quality too. Im not affiliated with them or any others. Just a satisfied customer

I have used a Supertuck with my XD 40 for the last 2 years. Carried daily. I can't recommend anything more. I did not get the "combat cut" but I ended up cutting it myself. I highly recommend their belt also."Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.

I'm brand new to the IWB CCW holster world. Opened my CB today and I'm in the process of breaking it in. So far, I really like it.

I have a comp tac and the Supertuck, both are very comfortable. The Comp Tac has more support, I have that for my all steel SP01 tactical. My glocks live in the supertuck. There are 3 kinds of people in this world.
The wise, learn from the mistakes of others.
The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.

I have a supertuck in horsehide for my glock 19, which I love. Super comfortable. The retention is perfect, not super loose but not too tight. Just clicks in and pulls out really well. What I like about the super tuck versus the comp-tac is that the super tuck is one piece of leather, where as the back is finished with another piece of leather on the comp-tac, making it a bit thicker. I think the natural back on the crossbreed is much more comfortable. Took me 4 weeks to get mine, very much worth the wait.
Now I gotta get the belts.Comment

i have a crossbreed for my govt model, it is comfortable, it is just a pain in the A**, to put on, and take off. therefore, i rarely use it.That may be a CG first!

The Old Faithful holsters are nice quality and I probably would have been very happy had I never tried a Crossbreed. Retention is very good on both, high quality materials are used on both.
Areas where the Old Faithful is nicer: the price is nearly half if you buy the assemble yourself kit, thicker Kydex and adjustable retention.
Areas where the Crossbreed is nicer: better molding of the Kydex creates a very positive "click" when holstering, the belt clips on the Crossbreed are FAR superior, and for whatever reason the Crossbreed is more comfortable.
Regarding the belt clips on the Crossbreed - Even though they have those crosses that scream "HEY, I'M CARRYING A GUN!" to anyone who knows what those crosses mean, the clips themselves are lower profile. The Old Faithful clips stick out just a bit on the bottom and my shirt catches on the clip while drawing. That never happens on the Crossbreed. I'll try to get some pics up to show the differences.
Check out www.crossbreedseconds.com. If you don't mind your Crossbreed being just a bit less than perfect you can save a lot of money. I bought a horsehide one for my J-Frame from there for $48 shipped. It was brand new, just had a couple of marks on the leather. You do have to send cash money though, so if that makes you nervous I'd go another route. I just did it this month and had my new holster door to door in about 10 days, way faster than the one I bought from the regular retail website.Comment

Not a fan
Not a fan of Kydex or over priced holsters myself. I use a Safariland 568 paddle and 572 double magazine paddle when I can wear appropriate clothing
I just started using a Desantis Sof-tuck for deep concealment of my 1911. I used to use only the 568 but had an issue while in a vehicle so I wanted to get something I could wear crossdraw while in a car. As a side note I really really want a rig like this

I have found that if you have your belt unbuckled and fly down its real easy to put the CB holster where you want it. Then buckle up,zipper/button up your fly and you are GTO. Reverse to remove the holster. Just takes a few more seconds, once you've done it a few times it becomes second nature.
I'll give you $10 for the holster

i bought an Old Faithful kit and put it together. It's so-so for me. Does the CB have the same exposed hardware on the back? I rarely wear any shirts tucked in, so it's against my bare skin and it's not comfortable for me.

If you decide on a Crossbreed, or any other holster for that matter, I've got an Crossbreed IWB Mag Carrier for the .45 XD magazine. It was a package deal with the holster I bought, but I don't own a .45 so I have no use for it.
That aside, I like the Crossbreed I have for my XD service model!
