Not entirely broke; just spend my money in a more responsible manner. Ammo costs will always fluctuate. I just try to buy components in bulk and reload stuff for less. It might take 5-10 years to recoup the cost of my new LNL, but that's fine. After all, I've reloaded with my RCBS for over 20 years and I KNOW I've recouped and saved a lot more over store bought.

I had a feeling that things would start to head south the 4th quarter of 2012 for gunners, so even though I wasn't planning on getting into guns and buying any gun-related things 'till next year, I bought what I felt I needed starting in August. I hate myself for dropping that much cash but I'm glad to know that I'm not trying to pick at over-priced scraps like a lot of people are doing now and will probably be doing for lord knows how long...

How could he be hit by a postal truck. He said it was no accident! Lol

Yup im broke too. But I have 3500 set aside for a recce16, acog, and p220 combat. But thats not my living money or savings.

And now with this whole end of the world gun buying spree I wont be getting either for a while. Gonna be some great deals in a few months when the market is flooded with lowers and guns nobody ever used

buy 1 mosin nagant and 2 spam cans of surplus ammo. no reason to hang onto $300 when it can be used for some good.

Hmm...now that's one thing I didn't think about-all of the gun stuff that people might be unloading once the hysteria dies down..

If only you could teach that to 2/3's of the gun guys in CA

I don't know if I would call it broke, but I certainly feel the squeeze. And the rain coming through my roof! $6,500 for a new roof membrane is doing to put some gun projects on hold for a second until I can catch my breath.
6,500? Ouch, that'll sure put a dent in anyones pocket. Best of luck to you! And i couldn't help but notice in your WTS thread you're from PQ? I posted a heartfelt "pq for life" in one of them haha.

Literally in the same situation. Floated my roomate 200$ after he lost his job for rent. Than PAID his rent the next month. And then girlfriend moved out so i had to come up with her share. Can't get a break!

Haha, it would have been better if you ended it with an ! point. Reason i jumped on the defensive is because it was not my own stupid actions that caused me to be broke. Own stupid Direct actions i should say.

Not broke, but not buying anything extra until next month. A lot of folks that I know are feeling the pinch this year more than the last few.

Just holding on here until the hysteria dies down and all the panic bought stuff comes to market... then I'll laugh at the prices folks will want for them.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

I just don't find anything about a Mosin appealing.

I hope everyone in your family is an NRA member as you max out your credit cards to buy ammo and pmag rebuild kits.

I was broke because I was out of a job for 9 months. Thank God I'm working again. I am just now getting out of the hole I was in

Not broke because of my firearms hobby but broke because my wife and I just recently had twins; a baby girl and boy. Had to redraft the fiscal budget which saw large cuts in the guns and ammo budget.

However I was lucky enough to pick up a pair of Mega Arms stripped lowers for $110/each at Turner's. By the time I find the parts to complete the pair of "sporter" rifles the kids will be old enough to have them as their first rifles.

I wasn't planning on spending the money this year for another rifle but the Turner's price was too good to turn down and the added frenzy about these "weapons of war" I had to get them. Especially when you see people trying to sell stripped lowers for $400 on the Marketplace.
