Ruger .45 Caliber?

Glocks? I never fired one. Not a big fan of plastic guns, but I'll try it.

Hey, I used to say the same thing about "tupperware" guns, then I got a M&P, now I want more! Steel/Plastic, meh..who cares! As long as it feels right in my meat hooks and can put lead down range, I'm all over it!

Apparently, Glock 21 SF's are a no nonsense, all business, ultra reliable combat/home defense pistol.

Not to mention, the price is just right in the midst of this obama Depression. :P

i'd search for a 90, or a 97 instead of the 345, due to the aforementioned "features". it is a decent, accurate, nice-handling gun but i like the older ones better. i'd also much prefer the ruger to any glock or m&p, especially the triggers. no contest.

I owned a P345 I love my Rugers. Its was nice but for $20 more you can get a Glock 21 or M&P .45

But the Ruger P345, while plastic, HAS a hammer, as is proper for a handgun.

When I was shopping for my first handgun I handled the KP90 & P345 side by side & picked the KP90. I liked the feel better, didn't like the flattened levers on the P345, and The 90 has none of the safety nonesense of the 345, including the nifty firing pin destruction device...

Having a hammer like the Ruger does creates more possible problems. External parts can be affected by external elements. More parts means more to go wrong. Plus Ruger makes the SR9 Series of guns more often now.

I have a P90 and love it as much if not more than my glock. Glock and the M&P are good guns and I have both. The P90 fits like a glove.

I have had my stainless P90 for over 20 years and it has been an extremely reliable and durable gun.

The P90 is a different animal than the P345.

I'd take a P90 over a P345 myself

I guess it all depends if you want a "striker" fire or "double action" pistol. As far as plastic goes, better get used to it. It is the way of the most common modern designed pistols. It is reliable, light weight and reduces production cost considerably!
