Ruger .45 Caliber?

Is this a reliable piece? They have one for sale at City Arms (Pleasant Hill) for $540.00.

Are you referring to the P345? If so, then yes. The price is right in the market, however, I'm spoiled with the old Ruger P series. These should cost around $400 IMO.

I can't remember which one it was but it was .45 caliber, I just couldn't believe how low priced it was at $540.00.

It's supposedly pretty accurate, and is nice and slim as a single-stack .45

I definitely like it, seems no frills. Looking at CZ as well. I am biased to the .45 platform.

I owned a P345 I love my Rugers. Its was nice but for $20 more you can get a Glock 21 or M&P .45

On the contrary, it has quite a few "features"

such as an obnoxious LCI and a mag-disconnect safety that will cause damage to your gun if you dry fire without a mag in place.

I'm a ruger whore and for some reason i never wanted a P345. Dont know why i've never fired or held one. No a P95 = sexxxxxy.

Ya the mechanics of a P345 are complex when compared to others. You have a mag disconnect, S/A D/A trigger, decocker, manual safety and loaded chamber indicator. Not to mention the take down is a pain if your in a hurry. As I said before I owned one for years but sold it. On the upside, it was pretty reliable until dirt got on the rails then it would jam like no other. Under normal conditions its a fine pistol. For a pistol to bet your life on? Id look into other options. With all that said I'm a Ruger fanboy. I own 2 revolvers and a SR9C I love them all but when I hear a bump in the night my Glock 21sf is in my nightstand.

Glocks? I never fired one. Not a big fan of plastic guns, but I'll try it.
