I have a TRP Operator with the rail. Highly recommended if you can part with the $1400. Best $1400 I've spent.

Kimber Warrior vs. SA Operator !?

Thanks for all of the responses. I'm definitely going to try and test fire a few different models before I decide for sure. I'm leaning more towards the SA though. Thanks for the links 8200, I really like some of the features on that model you pictured. No reason I can't get a loaded operator and have it customized in the future like that one. The Operator is a pretty good start in my opinion.POINT, CLICK, REPEAT...Comment

I'll put in a plug for the Operator as I own one. Along with a couple other SA 1911 and XD pistols. I'm 100% happy with all of them.
Another plus: SA has outstanding customer service. They stand behind their products 110%."Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." -Ben Franklin

I wouldn't rule out any 1911 just because it's manufactured in a 3rd world country. I understand that quality comes first, and companies such as HK, Sig, Glock, etc. have all proven their foreign arms to be superior in many ways.
I guess I just like the idea of a traditional American sidearm such as the 1911 being manufactured and assembled by an American company in the U.S.
My XD rocks, no doubt about that. I know it's foreign in design and manufacture, but I love it, and it's one hell of a competitor for the Glock.
No reason why I wouldn't get the SA Operator I guess...I'm just a big Kimber fan too! That's why it's hard to decide. Bottom line, I appreciate everyone's knowledge and suggestions.POINT, CLICK, REPEAT...Comment

Go for the Springfield. The Kimber has a stupid magazine disconnect so you can't even rack the thing without a mag in it."Going to war without France is like going deer hunting without your accordion."

Como que huh? I shot a Kimber Warrior three days ago (and have sold half a dozen of them since they became available in CA) and it had no such feature.
But yes, SA TRP Operator over the Kimber hands down in my opinion.Comment
