    Cheapest AR pistol?

I was just wondering what the cheapest you guys are seeing complete AR pistols out there. Ive only seen a couple locally and they are in the 900-1200 range. Of course this is sans optics. Thanks for any and all input, and IBFP lol!

If your on a real tight budget call around and find a shop that will sell you a complete lower (you buy the whole gun at the price of the lower and give back the upper after purchase)
Then save up and get you upper later, that's what I did:

Rough being in CA. The New Frontier complete (assembled w/ parts kit and buffer) pistol lower is like $139 shipped. Add an upper, which you can find for as low as about $455 complete and ready to bolt on, and you're looking at a pretty inexpensive AR pistol.

I know I saw a complete one just earlier today or yesterday for about $650... I'll try to remember where I saw that and post it up here.

          Here you go, OP:

This is about the cheapest I've seen for complete AR pistols, and you have the option of selling the upper back to them and keeping the pistol lower. Then you can buy whatever upper you want.

Thumbs up for www.ebrworks.com mentioned in the thread above. I had them build my AR Pistol Title I Other (AR Pistol with an 11.5" barrel and longer than 26" OAL with a VFG). Love it, great gun, great vendor.

I saw a fully assembled one for sale at a gun show for $400. This was in VA, though.

Cheapest AR pistol for me was when I built mine own....

                $85 - anodized 80% lower
                $45 - mill rental
                $45 - LPK
                $35 - pistol buffer tube w/foam cover
                $30 - buffer & spring
$270 - JSE 7" pistol upper w/BCG (1:7 chrome lined, front sight post)
                $20 - A2 rear sight

                TOTAL: $540

However, I can't really sell it (don't really want to) and I can always upgrade the parts to better ones if I ever decide to. But just for the occasional plinker & range fun gun, I don't feel bad for only spending a little over $500 on it.

EBRworks had the best all around deal for the money. Thank the good lord I was able to squeeze in one of his builds several months back before everything went bizzerk. I wrote Michael last week and they have discontinued the Pistol. The parts he used were top notch, not cheap Knock off garbage and MORE IMPORTANTLY to me was his customer communication and AAA professionalism.

As I write this, I can't even get a new shop that I recently tried out to even return my goddamn phone call or return a Private Message over some new things I'm working on. You have no idea how frustrating that can be after working with a true professional like Michael.

Anyway, If EBR ever decides to give it a go again with his pistol build....call him.
He is the "Real Deal" in my world.

From what I understood, you can't purchase pistol lowers from a dealer unless you are a LEO (law enforcement officer). You could purchase one through a PPT (private party transfer) or buy a complete pistol from a dealer.

I've emailed New Frontier Armory about their Pistol lowers because I was going to buy one. They can add a bullet button to the pistol lower for $20. But the problem was finding a dealer that would accept the pistol lower to do the paperwork.
