Mare's Leg in 22

My sister is thinking about getting a Henry's Mare's Leg in 22. Has anyone heard anything about these.

She's in MO and can get one for $250.

They are not on the CA list, but they would be trivially easy to convert to single shot making them purchasable under the single shot exemption.

Check with your local SSE Friendly gun dealers.

It's a Henry so I'm sure it's a good gun. My H001t is awesome.

Isn't the Mares Leg concidered a single action and roster exempt? I've seen Rossi Ranch Hands in a few LGS in my area.

It's not a Single Action. But, it can be made into a Single Shot Exempt pistol.

I have one, that we got as an SSE. All I can say is Funnnnnnnnnn......

It gets more range time than any of my other guns.

How did you do the Single Shot Conversion? Did you replace the magazine folowwer and spring with a dowel?

Sounds like you either use the "tactical unobtanium coat hanger plastic piece" or the "tacops wooden dowel" to make this SSE
