All the Kimber needs is to be color matched to your specs.....

I think this is about as close as you're going to get, unless you SSE the Rock Tactical with rail, but you'll still have to add night sights and get it painted!

I thought of this SIS when I saw the OP...it needs a new finish at some point anyway and I am guessing it could be had for about $800.

Are you a lefty? If not, forget the Ambi safety.
Railed 1911 is not popular in CA but you can get a non-rail with crimson trace light guard installed

Skosh linked to you what I was going to. The Kimber TLE/RL II. For an exact match I believe you want a Springfield MC Operator, out of your price range though. The TLE/RL II is pretty close just black and no ambi safety. You described the MC Operator to a T though, so i would say save up for that. If you want another option look at a Glock 21, you already said your a glock guy, it has a rail, 10rds, and is under your budget.

I need to make a comment regarding the 10 round mags.
WTF??
I have a dozen CMC 10 round mags that have worked flawlessly in all my 1911s except one,
my DW Cbob. I've never had a problem with them otherwise. And I'm down to about 12 1911s.
Also, the RIA 2011 Tactical is available with night sights. No need to get aftermarket added. I got mine through SSE with night sights. You will still need to get it Cerakoted, which will still add a couple hundred $$, so for the same amount of money, keep looking for an Springfield MC Operator. S&W has/had a railed model, but I'm not sure if it's currently on the roster. I had mine refinshed in Severns Hard Hat.
What the OP is after is doable, if the stars align properly, but not in the immediate future. It may take some time.

Sig, Taurus, ATI, PARA, RIA...I am sure I am forgetting a few. You will need SSE for most of these, but not the Sig.

Hi all,

Within the next few months I will be in the market for a 1911. I am hoping to get the following specs on it, but don't have much hands on experience in the 1911 field. *limited shooting, more of a glock guy. I was hoping to get the following:

-Full size 5 inch frame
-Minimum 8+1 capacity (Will run extended 10 rounders)
-Tactical Rail for Surefire X300
-Ambidextrous safety
-Night Sights (Can just put aftermarkets on if not available)
-Preferably in OD green, unless I custom coat that after

This will be a fun gun/possible tactical gun for HD or training. Obviously I would like to have a quality one, with a showroom look and a spartan like performance. Price is around 6-700, I was looking at the RIA Tactical w/rail just in relation to the price considerations. Any suggestions on make/model? Thank you in advance for your help!

Springfield Armory Marine Corp Operator has exactly what you asked for other than it comes with 7+1 instead of 8+1 magazines. $600-700 would make a nice downpayment but you'd probably be looking at an additional $500 or so.

I agree. Buy once, cry once. It's not uncommon for lgs to do a layaway for you. You'll regret buying a lesser 1911 later, end up selling it for a pinch of a loss, and buy the SA mc operator. It's everything you described, just more money.

Lifetime warranty and great customer service too.

In regards to mags, you'll want to buy aftermarket ones anyways. Chip 8 rd power mags run flawless compared to my SA factory checkmate mags.

Me. But I don't shoot it as often as I should. Use my .22 9mm and HD more.
